About Me

I'm Raj, Chief Roaming Officer and Founder of Roam & Shine. Born and raised in Queens, NYC, I balance a full-time career in finance with an insatiable passion for travel—because apparently, I enjoy both spreadsheets and getting completely lost in foreign countries where I don't speak the language.

I've explored six continents (Antarctica, you're officially on notice), and I thrive on discovering new cultures, cuisines, and experiences. As a proud foodie, I believe trying local dishes is one of the best ways to connect with a place—even if it means spending a night questioning my life choices after that "mystery meat" in a Bangkok street stall. Spain remains my favorite destination for its unforgettable vibe and flavors, probably because paella has never betrayed me.

An African safari tops my list of incredible adventures (nothing like a charging elephant to put your quarterly reports into perspective), while Machu Picchu and Kilimanjaro pushed me to my physical limits in the best way possible. Let me be clear: conquering mountains is brutal, humbling, and will make you question every life decision that led you to voluntarily suffer at high altitude—but somehow it's still easier than explaining to your boss why you need another week off.

At home in New York, I value time with friends and family, enjoy social drinks, love a good movie, and find peace escaping upstate for hiking and fresh air—because sometimes you need to disconnect from WiFi to reconnect with yourself.
